Meet Kayla Christensen OTD, OTR/L, CYT, ISTTS
Meet Kayla, a licensed doctor of occupational therapy with a passion for holistic health and wellness. Kayla earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from A.T. Still University and her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Buffalo. Kayla believes in the mind-body connection and has pursued her yoga teacher certification from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts to deepen her understanding of how movement and mindfulness can improve overall well-being. Additionally, Kayla has received a certification in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy.
Kayla takes a holistic approach to occupational therapy, considering each client's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. She believes that participation in meaningful everyday activities supports healing, positive health, and well-being.
Her mission is to help her clients live their best lives by empowering them to develop the skills and strategies they need to overcome obstacles, manage stress, and achieve their goals. She is committed to providing trauma-informed care and utilizing evidence-based practices to help her clients achieve their goals. Kayla works with her clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to their specific needs and goals.
Outside of work, you can find Kayla practicing yoga, spending time in nature, traveling, making jewelry, & spending time with her friends, husband & fur babies.
